When in Scotland…

I wrote a bit on my trip in Scotland & here are a few photos to bring it to life:

Traquair Castle

My walk in to town – Can you just imagine Postman Pat driving over this little bridge?

A maze I actually managed to successfully traverse

Inside it all looks the same!

The Sitting room with 150 year old wallpaper & a cabinet in the back corner from the 1600’s

Edinburgh City

Aint that just so posh & all….

Greetings…

From Scotland, or perhaps I should say from a little town called Traquair, near Peebles

I can’t even begin to describe the oldness of everything. This is the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, the wallpaper in some rooms is over 150 years old!

My breakfast is served on fine china and sugar pots with little spoons that have little men on them.
The salt is scooped out of a vintage holder with a teeny tiny spoon.

I was bodily searched twice before I got here.

The mentality escapes me though. I beeped when coming through the metal detector and realized it was my huge sparkly belt buckle and boots with buckles on. So I took them off and instead of letting me just walk through the detector again, a lady pulls me to the side and does a full on search: down between my breasts, cups my bum, almost gives me an internal when frisking up my legs.
This entire process only to be repeated an hour later when I was not even able to leave the airport anyway. (I had removed my buckle, but the official had said I could leave my shoes on, but it still beeped the machine) I must admit that I am still feeling slightly violated

I guess I can’t say I didn’t get any action…. Just not the type I would have liked.
